Here-Here investigates the relationship between seemingly similar nostalgic images of Singapore and Taiwan. By reconstructing her childhood memories through collaging online images and personal photographs, the artist also rebuilt diminishing narratives of lost Kampong (village) and Chinese Schools in Singapore. In a sense, the work may be seen as a way to escape the grand historical narratives of national institutions.
